Ferrari Will not Supply Red Bull For 2016 But Will Supply Toro Rosso

It has been reported that Ferrari will only supply junior team Toro Rosso with its engines for the 2016 season as they are no worried as were Mercedes that even supply Red Bull with a 2015 model engine would make them to competitive and limit Ferraris chances of scoring maximum points.

This now leaves Red Bull in a precarious position with their relationship with Renault ending in a messy and very public divorce and now both Ferrari and Mercedes ruling out any kind of deal, they are left without not only a competitive engine for next season but left with no engine what so ever and time is running out fast. Perhaps the threat of leaving Formula One may well come to fruition for the parent Red Bull team.

This is turning in to a complete farce for all involved with the FIA and Bernie Ecclestone unable to have any say in the matter Ferrari and Mercedes can effectively eliminate one of their biggest rivals on the grid, on the flip side this would not have come to pass if Red Bull had not so publicly criticised Renault and then refused to take this seasons engine from Ferrari.

In a bizarre turn of events it has also been rumoured that the ever Bernie Ecclestone will charge Red Bull $100 million dollars a year for the next 5 years if they opt to walk away from Formula One at the end of season as they signed a deal in 2010 with the F1 supremo to guarantee their inclusion in the championship[ for at least 10 years.

This leaves Red Bull two options beg, borrow or steal and engine for next season or up and leave but this would result in them damaging their ever-growing impressive image and having a massive financial outlay over the next five years with nothing in return.

Watch this space, this is far from over!

    1. I think Audi will be red bulls supplier from 2018/2019 but the VW group have other things on their mind currently and it would take them 2 years to get the engine they are happy with for a team to us, they will only enter if they are front runners

  1. The old chairman wasn’t a massive fan of the whole thing but the new guy who is now in charge is a big admirer of F1 and wants to get involved so I fully expect them to enter the sport in some capacity by 2020
